Please tell us how you and Sarah Huckabee know she's lying?

(115,985 posts)and she had no reason to believe otherwise. Nobody has ever proved it wasn't true. I suppose she could have a DNA test done but I wouldn't give them the satisfaction.

(2,120 posts)Elizabeth Warren is my Senator as I reside in Massachusetts. The disgusting right-wing scum here (yes, sadly we have a few of these dripping assholes in my state but they are a feverish and frantic minority, thank God) continually SHRIEKS about "Pocahontas!" and "Liawatha!"
Never mind Trump telling literally thousands of lies, of course. Oh, no, that's all fake; he's perfect and wonderful. Let's just keep shrieking about Warren, Hillary and - most of all - Obama telling you that you can keep your doctor under Obamacare!

(59,510 posts)reason she is called Pocahontas repeated the complete lie that she used that to get affirmative action position as a professor at Harvard. At the time that accusation was originally made, Harvard made it clear that she was hired before there was any such claim. In addition, Scott Brown was the one who conflated affirmative action in admitting students with being hired as a professor.

(3,577 posts)Prof. Henry Louis Gates is the host of this PBS series. Their crew of professional genealogists research the families of celebrities and politicians and come up with some fascinating finds. It's very likely they would reach a definitive answer to this question (at least for those who are willing to accept historical research and the science of genetics).

(32,617 posts)A simple DNA test is all she needs.
If she does have First American blood tracing it will be difficult given that the tribal and census records suck for reservations. My sister-in-law is half and the census records list like 400 people at one address with no surnames and often with no approximate age or birth date.

(3,577 posts)Prof. Gates lays out the research process to show how they got to the conclusion. They seem to find information in manuscripts, newspapers, private collections, court cases, military records, and many more sources. The program would be an understandable explanation available for all to view on the website whenever the subject might arise in the future. I agree that DNA would be important here, but it may not always be definitive.

(28,979 posts)The Osage story where they were forced on land that yielded oil meant many unscrupulous whites married Native women.
I have a photo of a Creek woman who was sued for alienation of affections three times after oil made her wealthy. Her name was Exie Fife. The news article on the photo says one woman won 20K after Fife stole the affections of her hubby, a former Muskeegee patrolman. A lot of mixed marriages during the oil boom.
Also, many old settlers in the West had Native wives. I know a number of blonde blue eyed Indians too. They have one great-grandmother who was Indian.

She always believed it, and had reason to. She never received placement or advancement because of her belief that she had Native American blood.
Liz Warren has so much integrity, this is all the fucking assholes from the right can come up with. I worked on the Warren campaign in 2012 with a huge union contingent. she beat Scott Brown. But here's a real election fact for you. Elizabeth Warren set the record of beating an incumbent U.S. Senator with the highest approval rate.
