It's snowing in SW Ala.!!! right now...

Was on the puter,, it's 11 pm, and realized it had gotten very very quiet outside. No noise whatsoever.., so looked outside.

have a nice blanket of white, and at 28 degrees and dropping, it will be here in the am.

This has been a winter for the record books..weeks of it and twice snow, this far south.

anyone else?

Meanwhile, I'm in Oklahoma. I checked the snow accumulation map at weather.com, and it's like the snow was gerrymandered around us. Heck, E Texas got snow, straight south of us! And you guys!!

5. 2nd time this year this far south in ala, AND "heavy" snow along the Gulf coast.

"heavy:" being a Southern definition, but still, closing so many roads is eventful, given the freezing weather come tomorrow.

Inter state -10 is shut down from So. Miss to Houston, basically, the snow dumped enough on Mississippi and South Louisiana and on to Texas that they just closed the road, which makes sense here.

No snow but better then nothing.

We have ice over all the roads.

The over passes are white, many are closed.

It about 25 now.

My old house is not built for this.

It is built for summer.

The buses stopped running because of the ice.

The schools closed.

We are gonna lose more than a few plants outside. they can survive a quick freeze over night but not these constant deep freeze nights for days at a time that we are getting.
Squirrels are fat, still , tho.

8. Your joy made me think of Margot in this story. What she would have felt at seeing the sun.

You brought her back to life for me, but with the ending I had always wished for her.

Download the PDF. Short bittersweet story.

It is 11am and still only 24. It may not get over 32 today at all.
Lots of roads are closed, still.

The package is in Evergreen, we usually get UPS in the afternoon, but of course those country roads are dangerous now, I totally get it.
I DO like the quiet in town here...nothing moving where I am. Supposed high of 33 for 2 hours this afternoon. Still 22 in the shade.
