Illinois governor: I want to 'rip the economic guts out of Indiana'

Source: Indianapolis Star

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner says he wants to "rip the economic guts out of Indiana."

The newly elected governor of Indiana's western neighbor told the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune on Monday that he plans to poach Hoosier jobs as part of his state turnaround plan.

"Believe me, I am going to rip — try to rip the economic guts out of Indiana," he told the newspaper. "I am one of the baddest, you know, enemies anybody can have. And when I set a goal, we do it. I don't care what the headline is. I want the results. And we're coming after Indiana big time. But you know what, we're going to do it on our terms, the right way."

But Rauner, a Republican who took office in January, dismissed the controversy over Indiana's "religious freedom" bill as a "headline opportunity," rather than a real one.

What an ass. It'd serve him right if Gov. Dense blocked off the Indiana Toll Road at the Illinois line.

greed merchant RAuner to suffer through. His idea is that rather than actually create jobs he will steal them from someone or somewhere else. Having seen his record as a vulture capitalist I guess it is not an unexpected course to take.
He is cutting the most essential social programs that actually help the citizens of this state while giving himself a rather large cut in taxes.
Rauner is the worst kind of political scum that has bought his governorship and I am afraid the people of this state will pay dearly for that purchase.

what happens when a state has its economic guts ripped out? Homelessness? Hungry children? Elderly people working until they die?

But those are people in another state so he's not supposed to care about that?
