Indonesian prosecutors insist murder of US woman in Bali was planned

BALI, Indonesia (AP) Prosecutors say they have enough evidence that an American couple on trial in Indonesia deliberately plotted to kill the womans mother while vacationing on the resort island of Bali.
Tommy Schaefer and Heather Mack are being tried separately at the Denpasar District Court on charges of premeditated murder.
The badly beaten body of Sheila von Wiese-Mack, 62, was found in a suitcase on a taxi outside a hotel in August.
Chief prosecutor Eddy Arta Wijaya said Thursday that witnesses testimonies and the defendants text messages show how the couple planned to kill von Wiese-Mack. The prosecutors say Schaefer and Mack should be found guilty and sentenced to 18- and 15-year jail terms respectively.
