Tropical Storm Bill already is having an effect on classrooms in Texas.

School districts in Galveston and in southern Houston suburbs canceled classes for Tuesday. Houston school district officials said late Monday they had not made a decision but were monitoring the weather closely.

The eastern half of Texas is under flood watches, with up to 10 inches of rain expected in some areas. The southeastern quarter of the state is under a watch through Wednesday, while the northeastern quarter is under a watch from Tuesday through Thursday.

Summer School Canceled for Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
Due to a tropical disturbance and the expectation of a large amount of rain expected on Tuesday, June 16, summer school has been cancelled for Tuesday. Summer School should resume on Wednesday morning as usual. We have made this decision in the best interest of safety and transportation of our students.

If I can stand the heat I'll see if I can take some photos near the Colorado River tomorrow. I just rode to the grocery store and back (one mile each way) and it feels like I was in a sauna. The storm has sucked up all the breeze and it's starting to mist again so the humidity is at 100%.
