(41,222 posts)A terrible reality for many, in this country black people and minorities for hundreds of years. Ted Kennedy walked a different route when he left the Senate to return to his office or elsewhere for years. What a thing to have to live with.

Bank on it being the one for which he is most remembered. His eloquent words on the trappings of racism and racial violence - where we are, and where we aspire and need to be - needed to be said.
Yes, it's already been touched on in this thread, but for a secret Kenyan Muslim socialist, he sure as heck knows how to sing "Amazing Grace."
