the thousands of blacks terrorized by the KKK founded by Nathan Bedford Forrest?

That had a rebel flag stuck on it recently.

There is a monument to Haitians in Savannah that fought on the side of the colonists in the Revolution in Savannah.

There is also a monument to the African America family in Savannah they broken chains lying at their feet and look down the river slaves would have traveled a few hundred year ago.

There are some. Not nearly enough, but there are some.

In fact, there are way more Confederate monuments than Union monuments in several border states which actually sent more men to the Union army than the Confederate army. Even West Virginia has Confederate monuments, and West Virginia seceded from Virginia to stay with the Union. Go figure.

I'd say they are gonna have to work a little harder.

As a "white people" representative, I decline any link or need to have monuments to slavers and traitors to the U.S. for the record.

There's a monument here in Charlotte, NC... not far from the campus where I teach. It was erected to honor a Confederate reunion in 1929. It is emblazoned with four confederate flags, and specifically thanks the Confederate veterans for fighting to preserve the "Anglo-Saxon civilization."

I'm not surprised it's behind a fence.

account the sculpture of MLK on a bridge named for him in my hometown has been defaced with whitewash for years. I don't live in the deep south, either. He can go fuck himself with his rhetoric and his camera.
