Jeb Bush Says He Would Back Tax Increases to Reduce Deficit

Source: sfgate.com

June 1 (Bloomberg) -- Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, in a break with his party, said he could support tax increases to help reduce the federal government's budget deficit.

The brother of former President George W. Bush told a congressional panel in Washington today that he could back a theoretical deficit-reduction package that would include $1 in tax increases for every $10 in spending cuts.

"If you could bring to me a majority of people to say that we're going to have $10 in spending cuts for $1 of revenue enhancement -- put me in, coach," Bush told the House Budget Committee. "This will prove I'm not running for anything," he said, prompting laughter from lawmakers and the audience.

"I appreciate your candor," said Representative Lloyd Doggett, a Texas Democrat who had pressed Bush on the issue. Bush later told reporters, "I don't think you shut down every option in order to find common ground."

Is in Teabagger hands and is eager to destroy the US government's ability to do anything good, in order to advantage their bosses. The propaganda they feed to followers all lead to the same result from apparently opposing angles. But not really.

The proof is what they are doing to blackmail the people who want to keep the government afloat to save lives. The Teabaggers and Ron Paulies claim they are saving us from the Bilderbergers, CFR, NWO and all that CT crap to keep our eyes off what ALEC and the Koch brothers are doing to the real victims in this fight. That is who is funding them, but they never talk about it, they point the finger at progressives, Obama, the IRS and the Federal Reserve.

The Democrats support the social safety net and the collective bargaining rights to bring the poor out of their vulnerable status, women and gays. None of these conservative libertarians give a damn about any of these groups and have mythologies to demonize people they know nothing but what their masters tell them. Pelosi knows they'll do it. They have threatened it time and again. I'm amazed at the guts it takes to face these psychopathic snakes in person.

This is a time when the Democratic Party is scorned by many, without considering the irrational level of hatred being promoted against it. By whom, one might ask?

By the same groups threatening to shut down the government, stealing the Commons and killing with these cuts. How many lives will Obama and those who believe in saving the government for what it does good, be lost in this battle if they can't come to agreement?

Hundreds of thousands. But you won't hear that from the ones dancing in the street heated up by conspiracy theories. In their reality, those people who will be cut are worthless mouths.

Joe Kennedy supposedly told Bobby to ease up on the spending in W VA becsuse he couldn't afford to give JFK a "landslide" victory.

What's going on in Florida is way past that. W was a patsy, Mitt is heartless sober mercenary with a clear direction: take anything not nailed down - its G*d's will.

I won't be voting for any Bush to any office. But he is saying out loud what most big business men admit to themselves away from the club and other big businessmen.

I think Congress will be back in Democratic hands and that a awfull lot of middle-class Republicans will vote for the President and not just as a protest against the Mittster.

Mitts dad was born in Mexico. How did George Romney get to primary against Nixon's second term?

He's the ultimate sneaky RWer. He pretends to be moderate, runs moderate ads, takes moderate stances. BUT - once the lights go down, he's far right wing through and thru. Example - he campaigned for governor on stopping the sugar plantatations from destroying the Everglades by sucking up all the water. The bill he championed called for sugar daddys, along with the state, to pay for reviving the Everglades. Once he was governor and the bill passed, he quickly amended it so that the sugar daddys didn't pay squat. Typical Jeb Bush move.

NEVER TRUST A BUSH!!
