(5,902 posts)I should not though that they may not allow Theresa May to take over, given her revelations on rampant pedophilia in UK (particularly among it ruling class).
The British PTB can't count on May to cover up for them like Thatcher systematically did for many years.

(41,219 posts)With any of them, we are likely to end up longing to have Cameron back, impossible as that sounds. But compared with Andrea Leadsom, Michael Gove, Liam Fox, Stephen Crabb or the original frontrunner Boris Johnson, May seems almost sane.

(14,749 posts)I didn't think it would be possible for the Tories to come up with a worse candidate for PM than Michael Gove, but they have managed it with Andrea Leadsom.
The really scary thing is that I can see grassroots Tories going for Leadsom. She might have been a lousy energy minister, she might be a proven liar, her views may be either loopy or just plain wrong, but she does stand for ideological purity, especially as she backed the "leave" campaign in the EU referendum.
