Giuliani calls for 'boots on the ground' to defeat ISIS
Source: The Hill
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Sunday reiterated his call for ground forces to be deployed to defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), blasting President Obama for being too cautious in the fight against the terror group.
During a radio interview with John Catsimatidis Sunday, Giuliani said hes confident in the militarys ability to defeat ISIS but that it will require using all of the tools it has at its disposal.
It will have to require, yes, boots on the ground, which the president is constantly saying he never wants to do, he said. Well maybe were going to lose more lives if we dont put boots on the ground in fact, we will. These people see our weakness and theyre taking advantage of it.
He called the presidents use of timetables for withdrawing troops in Iraq and Afghanistan an admission of defeat, saying that they would not have made sense during World War II and the Civil War.

(50,604 posts)Trump will never take New York State, but no one's going to take any chances: Trump doesn't want to just hand New York over to Hillary, so IF he picks Giuliani, Rudy would simply have to buy a house in another state and get a new driver's license.
Then again, Trump has got to know Rudy Giuliani is less popular than crab lice. My bet is, the candidate who brings a new meaning to the word vomit isn't too likely to pick the tingling fresh running mate which brings you exciting new cholera, mange, dropsy, the clap, hard pad and athlete's head. And besides, he's much more likely to choose Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie or Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Secondly let's give them boots on the ground. We'll drop hundreds of pairs of mismatched boots. After all, Rudy Poody said 'boots'. He said nothing about soldiers.
