#LogoFail: Trump/Pence campaign scrubs “screw you” branding after one day of massive ridicule
Source: RawStory
After a day of ridicule for a poorly designed Trump/Pence campaign logo that launched a thousand memes, the Trump campaign disappeared the design from their official website overnight.
Following the Twitter announcement of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as businessman Donald Trumps choice of a running mate should he still be given the GOP presidential nomination, the logo was unveiled online and immediately became the object of derision.
With some commenters noting the T&P styling and comparing it to dangling toilet paper coming off a roll, others pointed out the penetration of the Trump T into the Pence P had a disturbing sexual connotation that became the subject of much mirth.
Full Frontal host Samantha Bees crack staff almost immediately posted and animated GIF (see below), under the heading: Breaking the Mattress of America.

(6,241 posts)It's going to be there forever. That is the logo for your campaign.
Now repeat after me: Hillary Clinton's transition team. Get used to hearing that in December. It'll be everywhere.

(260 posts)Trump is all about his ego and his image of himself. This is a clear example of it. Also shows the easiest path to defeat him.
I can't wait to see the debates. Hillary Clinton will just need to mock Trump lightly and he'll absolutely lose it on national television.

(4,762 posts)Especially effective is having women mock and ridicule him. It makes him sputter with rage.
Making him a constant vulgar running joke is how we beat him.
Michelle Obama could reduce him to a puddle of piss if she raised an eyebrow at him.

Trump nepotism is 100% A-OK with the FReaks, except when it is not:
Something tells me it was a sentimental choice. Sometime down the line, well find out that someone close to Donald designed that first one. Someone like Melenia, one of his ex-wives, one of the children. OR Hope Hicks, his Girl Friday.

Jeb! Exclamation point misued.
Cruz's looked like the American flag was rolled into a ball and set on fire, and then he did that whole TrusTed (Trus being a trans-rectal ultrasound).
Now Trump and Pence are keeping it classy.
I am the furthest thing from a graphic designer (although I know enough to annoy them with Comic Sans), but honestly, how can you look at one letter essentially penetrating another and go, "Yup, that's a winner!"

1.From his congressional campaign website in 2000: Global warming is a myth. The global warming treaty is a disaster. There, I said it
I know Monica Lewinsky seems like the most important issue in America but, call me crazy, I think the quiet expansion of the liberal environmentalist agenda by Al Gore and Clinton White House that will cost thousands of jobs could be more important. Say no to the global warming treaty. (via Buzzfeed)
