(9,766 posts)She's not a professional speaker, so I can't fault her for that one.
The speech content, that's another matter. But I also have a hard time believing she wrote it herself. Someone's going under the bus...very soon.

(332 posts)Trump stood right next to his wife as she told Matt Lauer that she wrote it herself . I think Trump himself literally cut and pasted the speech and begged her to read it on live tv . Now with the absolute dumperster fire in full effect, she'll be upset about being lied to and made of, and Trump will withdraw to save his marriage .

(43,567 posts)is someone who doesn't understand that everything is scrutinized today
or someone who wanted to undermine her credibility
My hunch is she either did "write" it herself, or farmed it out to
a close friend or underling
But now that the game is up, it's an arm's length ghost writer
You mean they plagiarized the nation's first black First Lady's speech,
after all the racism the campaign oozes? SMH

(95,337 posts)I'm sure Donald is already eyeing up Mrs Trump #4, maybe some 20-something intern on the Trump campaign. Melania is already getting close to her age limit for being a Trump wife.

(20,257 posts)I think a disallusioned speechwriter cribbed from Michelle on purpose. I realize Trump didn't marry Melania for her brains, but surely she would have the sense to steal from Ann Romney or Laura Bush, OBAMA'S wife.

(10,857 posts)Trump is notorious for not paying, and I think the ghostwriter deliberately poisoned and rickrolled the document as a first draft, with the final to be delivered on payment. The Trumps liked the first draft, stiffed the writer, and NOW they're paying for it, for sure.
