Trump slams 'sad' Republicans who won't 'protect' him

President Trump targeted some unnamed members of his party in a tweet on Sunday, saying that "sad" Republicans who benefitted from his electoral coattails in the 2016 election now won't "protect" him.
"It's very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President," Trump tweeted.
It's not clear what issue Trump wants to be protected on, although his presidency has been challenged both by a failure to pass a promised ObamaCare repeal and the continuing investigations into potential ties between his campaign and the Russian government.

Trump wants Congressional republicans to commit that they will be loyal when he fires Mueller.

I can't really think of many people in this category. Maybe Rob Johnson, though he ran ahead of Trump

He's thinking about Portman and putting pressure on Capito ahead of his visit tomorrow.

Perhaps, though Portman (with a 21% victory) wasn't exactly carried across the finish by Trump (though Trump likely thinks otherwise).

And Capito didn't even run in '16
I'm not going to pretend to know what Trump's thinking, but I think Burr and Johnson are closest fits

Yes, aware when she's up.
I think he's sending a message to Tcare holdouts & reminding them of his popularity in their states like WV.

(19,208 posts)who Donnie Jr. gets it from. He's the biggest baby......hold on......the SECOND BIGGEST BABY, in the United States. Maybe the third, Eric hasn't been heard from in awhile. Ivanka has bigger balls than both of her brothers, and probably bigger than Daddy's too. What a gutless, wormy family. They have no problem starting shit, but run the other way when it's time to put up, or shut up. Then they want other people to fight their battles for them. Daddy, with his army of lawyers (and everyone else who's around), and the little boys with Daddy's lawyers, plus their own.
WORMS!

Damn but TanTrump whines a lot. I have 5 granddaughters, 3 of which are entering puberty and one is a toddler, combined they whine and complain a whole lot less than he does. Good grief.
