Poll Shows Trump Sliding Among White Working-Class Voters
Source: WSJ
The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found signs that President Donald Trumps support is eroding in important segments of his base: white Americans without a four-year college education and self-described white working-class voters.
Mr. Trump won the non-degree group by more than 30 percentage points in the 2016 election, making it a core source of support. In the new poll, his job approval dropped 7 points in that group, falling to 51% in October from 58% in September. Among self-described white working-class respondents, Mr. Trumps approval rating fell 12 points, to 41% from 53%.
Overall, Mr. Trumps job approval dropped 5 points to 38% in the poll, which was conducted Oct. 23-26.
Those drops occurred during a period when Mr. Trumps job-approval numbers among other groupssuch as middle- and upper-income voters and college graduateswere essentially unchanged between September and October.

That part of Trump's base also has a low opinion of his tax plan.
And when asked if they had a positive view of Trump:
A drop from 50% to 39% in one month among working class whites.
A drop from 54% to 48% among whites without a four-year college education.
And in both groups, there's been an increase in the number of voters who said they'd prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress. Up from 33% to 47% in the first group, and from 33% to 39% in the second group.

(25,111 posts)as middle to older are working minimum or less jobs which does not cover healthcare nor sick time. Therefor, those fortunate to at least have supportive families can somewhat bring their resources together. Those that can not are effed. Stock Market trickle down is total BS.

(1,144 posts)I do not think well of the people who voted for Trump. They threw the rest of this country under the bus with their choice. When they pulled that lever for a narcissistic, sexual abusing idiot, they betrayed everything America stands for.

Do you know any liberals or Democrats who decided to support Trump because he called them names?
I don't.
