Investigators probe Trump knowledge of campaign's Russia dealings: sources
Source: Reuters
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Special counsel Robert Muellers team has questioned Sam Clovis, co-chairman of President Donald Trumps election campaign, to determine if Trump or top aides knew of the extent of the campaign teams contacts with Russia, two sources familiar with the investigation said on Friday.
...
The ultimate question Mueller is after is whether candidate Trump and then President-elect Trump knew of the discussions going on with Russia, and who approved or even directed them, said one source. That is still just a question.

According to court documents related to Papadopoulos guilty plea, he reported to Clovis in an email on a March 24, 2016, meeting he had in London with a professor later identified as Joseph Mifsud. Mifsud in turn introduced him to a Russian woman and the Russian ambassador in London, and they discussed setting up meetings to talk about U.S.-Russia ties in a Trump presidency.
The documents showed Clovis responded to the proposed meetings by saying he would work it through the campaign. While he told Papadopoulos not to make a commitment then to set up those meetings, he congratulated him for great work.

(6,943 posts)No more "did they collude with Russia". It's now, "did Trump know about the collusion going on within his campaign?".
Mueller frames the issue before dropping the hammer.

(49,075 posts)Not being "turned into" but the woodchipper is sifting the intelligence to uncover the evidence.
The perpetual slam from the right wing is "fake news" so it is important to speak carefully to not let them insert any wedges, regardless of how unfounded the wedges might be.

(23,199 posts)Think they'd even be OK with losing healthcare, unless they are presently sick. They would also be OK with more taxes since the idiots think that rich folks will create good paying jobs for them. It's only when they are personally really hurt by these policies that they might pay attention, maybe?

(70,657 posts)... vote is counted fairly and people who have the right get to vote. The idiots will only
come into the light when they see that the dems help people and republicans hurt people.
However a large % of that 30 to 35% are DOA when it comes to the brains department. I
know I live and work around them and the half baked crap they say is mind blowing. Obama
was going to import Hamas fighters so he could get a third term and take their guns, the
Clinton Foundation is a slush fund, climate change isn't real, transgender people in bath-
rooms is a real problem, blacks travel across state lines to vote twice, and nothing is sweeter
then liberal tears.
If we don't secure the voting mechanisms, we will not be America sooner rather than later. 2020 win for drumpf spells the end of our constitution, first amendment, rape laws, ability for women to control their reproduction, education, clean air and clean water snd I'm sure ability to vote while not Russian/Repug.
