A conservative columnist said President Trump called friends to brag after the meeting in which the president reportedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as "shithole countries."

"It’s weird that people in the room don’t remember Trump using that word when Trump himself was calling friends to brag about it afterwards," Erick Erickson, who has in the past been critical of Trump, said in a tweet.

"I spoke to one of those friends. The President thought it would play well with the base."............................

Reptilian actions motivated. Fingers twitching. Letter by letter the twit pressed the keyboard in response.

Boy, that is a hard job being pResident*! I need a reward with a pr0n star or a ride in a golf cart.

Michael Wolff said that the biggest leaker in the Trump White House IS Donald Trump. He is on the phone constantly, calling friends, who in turn tell other friends what he said. It very quickly makes it to a journalist.

I'm guessing that model still works.

No one work for him or stroke his little one without a payment. Sure hope they get it up front!

Cotton defends Trump by saying he didn't hear or can't remember Tump using the term shithole.
But he does know Durbin is a liar.

Cotton owes Durbin and apology and he proves that he ca't be trusted to tell the truth.

Trump said he used the words to make his base happy.

Cotton defends Tump to make Trump happy because he wants the top job with the CIA.

...you leak to the GOP's base that he is a white racist like the rest of them, but then deny the comments to the mainstream media. This is what Trump was trying to find out. And guess what? It worked:

WHITE NATIONALISTS PRAISE TRUMP FOR ‘SHITHOLE’ COMMENT: ‘IT’S OBVIOUSLY ALL ABOUT RACE’

President Donald Trump’s already infamous “shithole” comment is among several remarks the commander in chief has made that have energized white supremacists, rights groups fear.

Trump made the comment Thursday in the context of asking why America should accept more immigrants from Haiti and Africa—instead of places like Norway—while discussing a bipartisan immigration deal with lawmakers. The remark reinvigorated accusations that Trump is a racist, and it was embraced online by white supremacists David Duke and Richard Spencer.

The director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism, Oren Segal, told Newsweek that Trump’s remarks are “the engine that fuels white supremacy” in America.

“You have white supremacists like Andrew Anglin calling Trump’s words ‘encouraging and refreshing,’” Segal said, referring to the editor of Daily Stormer, a fringe, anti-Semitic conspiracy website that serves as a homepage for young, disaffected white men. Segal said that when Trump makes racially charged remarks, it gives a signal to isolated and hateful people that their views are normal and are “gaining a foothold in this country,” even if that might not be the case.
