Trump said he'll be blamed for shutdown 'no matter what': report

Source: The Hill

BY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 01/20/18 08:41 AM EST

President Trump told aides that he believes he will be blamed for the government shutdown “no matter what,” Politico reported Saturday.

“It’s Trump — they’re going to blame me no matter what,” Trump reportedly said on Friday.

Trump made the comments just hours before the Senate failed to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government, triggering a government shutdown at midnight. The president had reportedly negotiated a funding deal with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) earlier Friday, but backed away from the deal after talking to GOP leaders, Democrats said.

Trump has repeatedly blamed Democrats during the lead up to the shutdown and in the hours since.

IT IS 100% HIS FAULT!!!!

He twice was given an outline for the bill and twice approved it then went back on his word. He refuses to sign the bill period becaause he's under orders from Putin to destroy us. Why else would he refuse bills that gave him the fucking stupid expensive wall he wanted? He is just there to fuck us and is determined to destroy America so Russia can be #1.

It was put there by Obama. He could have left it alone, but it was a quick way to appeal to his base and vindictively undo something his predecessor did.

Then he says "Why aren't you fixing the dam? Everyone wants the dam fixed."

Then while the water rises, a bipartisan patch was presented, but the patch wasn't white enough for him.

This deadline was no surprise - he's known about this deadline and the one before it since he took office last January.

Instead of working out the details to keep the government running smoothly, he's been
1. Playing golf
2. Meddling in campaigns where he doesn't belong
3. Tweeting
4. Trying to defeat Obamacare - how many times?
5. Getting the hoax of a tax cut bill passed that only benefits people like himself
6. Causing trouble in foreign countries where he's not wanted
7. Trying to cover his ass on the Russia investigation
8. Eating mountains of McDonald's and KFC

I'm sure you guys can add to this list of Cheeto's time-wasting activities.
Don't even try saying this is the fault of any Democrats.
