At rally, Missourians and lawmakers praise Trump, slam McCaskill

Source: Columbia Missourian

"On Saturday afternoon, roughly 100 people gathered outside the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City. Below the Thomas Jefferson monument, a bald, bearded man in a black hoodie and cargo shorts stood holding a massive wooden cross and a star-spangled banner.

Josh Wagner, a contractor from Anderson, said that after one year into Donald Trumps presidency, hes happy he voted Trump. He approved of Trumps nomination of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and said he feels good about the current state of the economy.

Hes a winner. And hes not a racist, said Wagner about Trump. People who think otherwise are misinformed.

Wagner exemplified the spirit of Saturdays Jefferson City rally commemorating the first anniversary of President Trumps inauguration. The rally was held by the Republican Leadership Initiative and featured Bikers for Trump, conservative radio hosts and members of the Missouri Republican leadership, including Lt. Governor Mike Parson and Attorney General Josh Hawley. The speakers praised the Republican tax bill, President Trumps Supreme Court appointee Gorsuch and economic growth as Trumps major achievements. They also united against U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., who is up for re-election in 2018.
"
"
Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens was listed as invited to the rally. He didnt appear at the event."

100 people p[rove themselves deplorable by their misinformed rhetoric and fascist attitudes. "When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross" is this crowd's dream come true. What are the bikes supposed to suggest...gangs? I ride a bike too but completely disagree with these people. btw...Trump is a coward...a 5 deferment coward who would stiff all these people if they had worked for them/ Trump is the kind of person they would beat hell out of on a personal level but they believe he is the opposite of all they hate. pathetic.

Greitens today, eh?

I can’t get a firm count on the women marching in St. Louis today, and best pic I could find was this, but as above, Columbia and other MO towns represented!!

Side note - Gov. Greitens snuggles with fellow devout Christian, Aug. ‘17:

They also have to pledge to abide by the Dem Party Platform, I believe.

She's from a conservative area, so she will be a blue dog Democrat. She has to be. A yellow dog couldn't get elected there. So she's better than a Republican getting elected in that seat.

She voted against repealing Obamacare, and against the "skinny repeal."

I was just pointing out that the reds are always going to hate the blues, even if they're moderate.

Getting up on the senate floor and asking why should she vote for healthcare for all Americans, what is in it for MO? As if getting healthcare was not enough, the people of MO were demanding more, like blackmailing her colleagues for the vote.

If my recollection is wrong, please correct me.
If not, I stand by my criticism of her.
She gave Obama a hard time, and didn't seem interested in healthcare reform.

Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it.

to the piece on the women's march. There is no mention of the number of marchers. Only that 3,600 attended last year.
