WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Special counsel Robert Mueller is seeking to interview the former spokesman for President Donald Trumps legal team as part of his investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
Mark Corallo was the spokesman for several weeks, representing Trumps outside lawyers amid the federal and congressional Russia inquiries, until he resigned last summer.
No interview date has been set, according to the source, who asked not to be identified given the ongoing investigation. Muellers team is also investigating whether there was any collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign.
Corallos departure in July came amid other staff changes and media reports that Trumps legal team was reorganizing and considering ways to try to limit Muellers probe.

I know GOPers don't care about you or me (not rich enough) but putting FBI agents in danger, a big no no.

A neighbor I'm friendly with is an FBI parole officer. He is a Fox News addict, a Republican and he was a big supporter of Trump. He still wouldn't vote for Hillary Clinton but he hates Trump! While this anecdote represents exactly one person, he did tell me that many people in his field office are angry.
I wonder how all of this will turn out.

(22,074 posts)If I recall correctly, Mark Corallo abruptly resigned from team Trump because he feared something he knew about them. He wanted to protect himself. Oh, the stories he must have to tell...
Similarly, Don McGhan, the White House Counsel, must know he's skating along a perilous legal edge. A previous holder of his office ended up doing jail time: John Dean. McGhan undoubtably knows Trump's crimes.

Imagine! Someone who was concerned about truth in the Trump White House! No wonder he had to quit.
