Bob Brady not running for reelection

Source: Politico

Rep. Bob Brady, a longtime powerhouse in Philadelphia Democratic politics, won’t seek reelection to the House, according to a person close to the congressman.

Brady has represented south Philadelphia in Congress since 1998, but he has long had a ruling hand in the city’s politics, serving as chairman of the Philadelphia Democratic Party for more than 30 years.

As a note - if the PA state SC decision stands (i.e., some grumpy GOPers have requested that he SCOTUS do a stay on the state's Supreme Court order) and they have to redraw, it may decentralize the city's congressional seats a bit and spread them into the 'burbs, which would make them more blue as they should be, and knock out some of the fake GOP seats.
