Video shows enraged passenger's outburst on diverted Spirit Airlines flight

Source: CBS News

HOUSTON -- Cellphone video shows the moment a passenger became enraged after her flight made an emergency landing in Minnesota. Stephanie Calder told CBS affiliate KHOU-TV she began recording when another passenger started screaming after the flight had to make an emergency landing.

Spirit Airlines flight 346 was flying from Houston to Minneapolis on Monday but diverted to Rochester, New York, when flight attendants discovered a male passenger in need of medical attention. But when the plane landed, Calder said the woman demanded to be allowed off.

"All of a sudden that's where the lady came running from the back of the plane," Calder said. "She started saying she's not going to calm down and wanted off the plane and such."

Police arrived and escorted the woman off the plane. Calder said that she was worried for her 15-year-old daughter's safety during the incident.

She seemed angry, not afraid. Her illness was terminal self-centeredness, it seems. Judi Lynn Jun 2018 #2

There was a man who was very ill on the plane, that's why they had to make the stop before they could continue the trip.

Pretty ugly display. I'm pretty sure no Democrat would do that.

If that's the case, she gets a free pass. From me anyway.

The only real story is that somebody decided to video it, thought it was newsworthy, and was scared because somebody might have done something.

The "crazy lady" with PTSD, at least on video, didn't actually touch a person. Doesn't mean there's not reason for extreme, brown-shorts-level terror, cowering under the seats or popping out the emergency exits. I mean, there's somebody who's speaking loudly in odd ways. (Yes, that's sarcasm.)

Obviously the plane landed at Rochester, Minnesota, headquarters of the Mayo Clinic.
