(26,363 posts)Congress to address it he is just being denied the ability to use it to politically attack the Democrats and to try to shift the blame for his and your parties decision to shut the government down.

(1,040 posts)Let's see. Wants political leadership (listening, Mitch?) to have the same desire and work ethic as our military. Glad the Speaker wants to meet the troops. Says Trump's response is 'sophomoric, but that Pelosi's cancelling of the SOTU speech is irresponsible and blatantly political. Then says Trump's denial of Pelosi's travel to Egypt, Afghanistan and NATO is inappropriate.
Recalls to mind a movie or TV quote from many years ago (someone help me with this .. I believe it was a Western.) "You've got to admire a man who can change horses in midstream and still maintain his conviction."

(37,051 posts)It took Donald almost two years to visit our troops in Iraq/Afghanistan.
It took Pelosi about two weeks, but she got stabbed in the back.
Her trip would have been bad optics for Donald.
