Pelosi tells Republicans: 'Take back your party'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) during a speech at the Conference of Mayors on Wednesday night told Republicans in attendance to "take back your party."

"To the Republicans in the crowd, I say: take back your party, the Grand Old Party," Pelosi said at the annual gathering of U.S. mayors. "America needs a strong Republican Party, not a rubber stamp."

"Congressional Democrats support smart, effective border security, but we do not support the president holding the health, safety and paychecks of the American people hostage again to a campaign applause line," Pelosi said during the speech.

"There is serious and justified concern that this president would shut down the government any time he does not get his way legislatively," she continued. "That is why we must hold the line on this shutdown in government."

Here's a deal for 45: He and Pence both step aside and let Pelosi assume the Presidency. No wall, but also no impeachment, no more federal Russia investigation, but the T crew are on their own dealing with the FBI and the rest of the civilian criminal dumpster fire that is their business dealings.

The Trumps et al must be rendered penniless and powerless. All assets seized, federal prison and parole, passports seized, restricted from doing business or holding a position of influence, etc. etc.

The Democrats will then, after a couple of election cycles, spin off a new sane two-party system of "Third Wayers" versus "Progressives", with legitimate conservative viewpoints (as opposed to the current crime cabal operating under that label) represented by the former.
