Trump touts advancements with North Korea ahead of second summit

Source: The Hill

BY JOHN BOWDEN - 01/24/19 09:02 AM EST

President Trump on Thursday chastised the "Fake News Media" over its coverage of his summit last year with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accusing journalists of downplaying his administration's success in the region.

In a pair of tweets, the president touted an end to North Korean missile launches that had entered Japanese airspace, as well as the return of remains of American war dead from the Korean War last year.

His remarks come less than a week after the White House announced a second summit will be held with North Korea's Kim Jong Un next month. Last year's summit ended with a joint declaration from the two nations to seek complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

“President Donald J. Trump met with Kim Yong Chol for an hour and half, to discuss denuclearization and a second summit, which will take place near the end of February," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said last week.

They've done nothing to show they've done anything , and after trump allowed them to fully test their delivery systems so much , they no longer need to test , and have a fully functional delivery system to anywhere in the USA now. They've also been busy producing many more bombs they've hidden , and have more missile sites undisclosed to us, and he claims he's doing good is pure BS now, because we're not safer , and not protected by this imbecile claiming he's done good. More from the liar in chief that he's a success, when the truth is he's a miserable failure, again.

WASHINGTON — With a second U.S.- North Korea nuclear summit looming in February, researchers have discovered a secret ballistic missile base in North Korea — one of as many as 20 undisclosed missile sites in the country, according to the researchers’ new report.

The Kim regime has never disclosed the existence of the Sino-ri Missile Operating Base to the outside world. Ballistic missiles are the primary delivery mechanism for North Korean nuclear warheads.

The report from Beyond Parallel, a project sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a defense think tank, was released Monday and comes after an announcement Friday that President Donald Trump "looks forward" to meeting with Chairman Kim Jong-Un next month "at a place to be announced at a later date." NBC News is reaching out for White House reaction.
