Feels like a subtle form of intimidation message by the GOP Senate wherein, Cohen, he best maintain within the walls of silence when speaking on February 7th openly to the public for the House Hearings....

Any interview with Cohen would almost certainly take place in private, in keeping with how the panel generally conducts Russia-related hearings.


I think the House one was aiming to be a public hearing however.

this particular committee is "Intelligence" and often deals with top secret stuff. Oversight, not so much, although they have had closed hearings in the past too.
