In 1996, the university suspended Strauss from physician duties after a patient at the Student Health center accused himi of "fondling him during a genital examination." At the time, though, the school took a "very limited investigation" of complaints against Strauss, who was subsequently removed from Athletics and Student Health but remained a tenured faculty member in the School of Public Health.

Even after the disciplinary actions, in 1996 Strauss opened a private, off-campus clinic where he "continued to sexually abuse OSU students," the report says.

Strauss voluntarily retired from the university in 1998, receiving an "emeritus" honor that he maintained until his death. Strauss died by suicide in 2005.

“Strauss' acts of abuse ranged from the overt – such as fondling to the point of erection and ejaculation – to more subtle acts of abuse that were masked with a pretextual medical purpose - for example, requiring a student-patient to strip completely naked to purportedly "assess" an orthopedic condition, or asking probing questions about a student-patient's sexual practices or performance," the report says."

...........The university said it has begun the process of revoking Strauss’ emeritus status.

Previous to Friday’s release, his accusers had alleged more than 20 school officials and staff members, including two athletic directors and a coach who is now a congressman , were aware of concerns about Strauss but didn’t stop him. Most of those claims are part of two related lawsuits against Ohio State that are headed to mediation .

Neither that congressman, Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, nor any other coaches are mentioned by name in the report........

Included Jordan’s name, but there is no way an Assistant Coach who was there for 7 years did not know.

We had an Assistant Principle in High School who always had his hands in his pocket. A few High School girls would slide down in their seats in their short skirts just to watch him squirm. Everyone knew it.

Jordan is guilty as hell. He doth protest too much.

Jordan will be gone within a year. OSU will be on the hook for tens of millions when before this is settled. Now that the University President has a published statement admitting wrong doing by a University Official,let the Legal Beale's have their day.

Will be changed by Court order by June.

Watch the Rethugs and Trump to raise holy hell over this. My guess is,Trump will have Barr intervene or try to disrupt this event.

In 2021 there will be an unbiased committee. Funny thing is the Legislature were afraid Democrats would take over so they changed it!
