WATCH: Putin and Assad caught on video laughing as they mock Trump during Damascus meeting

Video has emerged of Russian president Vladimir Putin and Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad having a laugh at President Trump’s expense during Putin’s visit to Damascus last week.

“If Trump arrives along this road [to Damascus], everything will become normal with him too,” Assad said, according to a translation of the conversation. Putin then quipped that Trump would jump at the offer and if not, he’ll convince him to visit the country’s capital. “It will be repaired… invite him. He will come.” Assad replied that he’s ready to invite Trump. Putin then smiles and says, “I will tell him.”

The inspiration for the joke was the biblical story of the Apostle Paul, who was struck blind by God while on a road to Damascus, only later to be transformed into a follower of Christ.

I think this is good. Putin can be a better American patriot than the republicans in the Senate. He can dump trump. He must know he would have been better off with Hillary Clinton in the White House.

anyone can make an aSS out of tRump. Weren't Putin and OMB doing the high five during one of their summits. Putin is laughing his ass off at us/US.

However I'm wondering what language Putin and Assad are using when they joke around with each other. As far as I know, Pootie doesn't speak Arabic and I don't think Assad knows Russian.

So maybe they're speaking English to each other? They all know English as a 2nd language. Wouldn't that be a gas?

For Paul, everything was turned upside down. Is the joke that Trump is already upside down, so the radical change would be making him normal?
