Michael Avenatti Arrested by Feds at California State Bar Hearing

Source: Daily Beast

Ex-Stormy Daniels lawyer and Trump antagonist Michael Avenatti was led out of the State Bar Court in Los Angeles by federal agents on Tuesday evening.

The arrest occurred outside the disciplinary hearing in which the State Bar of California has accused the hard-charging, tough-talking attorney of using a doctored document to scam a client out of nearly $840,000, funneling money from a lawsuit settlement fund to his own personal use.

The State Bar of California, the official attorney licensing agency, has sought to put Avenatti on “involuntary inactive status,” setting in motion a timeline for disbarment proceedings.

During a break in testimony, members of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, who are prosecuting Avenatti in a separate criminal matter in Orange County, parleyed with Avenatti's team of lawyers and took the lawyer into custody.

I remember him saying on TV that he was not afraid of Trump. But you see, Trump is a mob boss and will go after and get anyone wants to.

Maybe Avenatti did some slimmy lawyer skimming, but I would bet many do and never get caught. He was on Trump's list, so he got caught.

You actually believe that?
Avenatti is a dirt bag that got caught cheating his client's out of their money, Trump had nothing to do with that, this is all Avenatti.

Just because he was a thorn in the Mango Menace's side doesn't make him a good guy.

After a period of initial skepticism, around the time of the Kavanaugh confirmation, I got on board the Avenatti bandwagon. I so badly wanted to believe a savior was going to ride in and save us from Trump that I was susceptible to this.

We don't have many, for some reason which I don't understand, attack dogs that speak truth to power. Those unafraid of getting another invitation back to a news studio. Avenatti was unafraid of calling out Trump for what he is and was long before anyone else was. Someone relentless on him as well. Almost every day he was on giving it back as hard as he was getting. No one filled his role when he left. Its getting better. one small step at a time. Took forever for the MSM and Democrats to utter the word "liar". Hell it took Chucky Todd three years to even understand what was going on.

Its such a shame. Same for Al Franken. It seems that whenever a bold, oratorically gifted person against Trump gets too loud, they find something to bring them down and shut them up. I'm not arguing Avenatti should not pay for his crime, just that I miss what he brought to the table.

"It is 90 minutes that could change the world, but Hillary Clinton is already warning that Donald Trump may overwhelm their first presidential debate on Monday if his “habitual lying” is left unchallenged by the moderator."

"“She will respond when he misrepresents her own record, but given the historic nature of how much Donald Trump lies, it cannot be only on her,” Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri told reporters by phone on Friday."

"Took forever for the MSM and Democrats to utter the word "liar". "

Last I heard, Hillary and members of her campaign were Democrats.

ethic problem that Trump has. I think he thought somehow he could get it all fixed before he got in over his head. I loathe Trump for it but I pity Avenatti for it, I think he had a lot of promise.
