Podesta to take on John Kerry's climate role

Source: Politico

White House adviser John Podesta has been tapped to be the Biden administration’s top climate diplomat once John Kerry steps down from his post this spring, a person familiar with the move told POLITICO.

Podesta is currently overseeing the implementation of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, the Democrats’ signature climate law. The Washington Post first reported Podesta’s new role.

Podesta will reportedly operate out of the White House rather than the State Department, where Kerry, a former Secretary of State, maintains an office. Podesta will also maintain his role overseeing the IRA rollout.

The veteran Democratic strategist has a long history in climate politics, including on the international stage. Podesta will be the U.S. face at the COP29 negotiations later this year in Baku, Azerbaijan.

John is really one of “the good ones.” No more work Senator, Mr. Sec. of State, and a real life
hero it is time to kick back and feel the good things in the world.

It was an honor to work for him in Ohio in 2004. I still hurt about what happened.

4. I do too. I love Kerry. That "swiftboat" of the pukes just sickened me.

We didn't know the true depths of the Puke Party in those days, however.

5. I got to meet some of the people who served on the swift boat under John's command....

…. We tried to get the local stations to interview them and none of them would touch em but
the local Fox and Sinclair stations ran the right wing’s Swift Boats for Truth 1/2 an hour video.
None of the people in that Creative Response Concepts/Karl Rove/T. Boone Pickens produced
bag of bullshit had served 1 second on Kerry’s boat.

True ass story Jon’s boat hit a mine knocking a man into the river Kerry crawled out onto the
deck of the boat and took some shrapnel into his upper arm or shoulder and pulled the man
back aboard all the time telling the machine gunner on the top to fire on the enemy.

Kerry never lost 1 man under his command.

Ohio 2004 story.
