Russian media on Friday claimed that an alleged leaked audio file contains a recording of German generals discussing the possibility of a strike on the Crimean Bridge.
Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Kremlin-operated news outlet RT, said she had obtained the file from Russian security officials. A transcript of the alleged audio was later published on RT.
Newsweek could not verify the authenticity of the audio or the transcript, and the Germany Ministry of Defense was contacted via email on Friday night for comment.
According to RT, the recording lasts for 40 minutes and features a conversation between four high-ranking German officials within the Bundeswehr, Germany's armed forces. At least two of the individuals were generals, RT alleged.

Please, please, please let this report from Russia be true. It would mean Germany is also sowing fear to make Pooty Bear off-balanced and fearful that he will fall out a window.

but I'd be surprised if NATO Generals all over the place haven't discussed strategies for dropping enough of those bridges (rail and highway) into the drink so that Russia would basically need to rebuild the whole span in order to use it.
While some supplies can be brought in by the ferry that exists, the ferry won't do the whole job, especially since Crimea has no drinking wager.
Rural Crimeans have probably uncapped the old cisterns their grandparents relied on. The military and the colonists are not going to be able to bring enough in by ferry or tanker, since Ukraine will just blow up the tankers.

(111,383 posts)but Putin seems to feel the cold breath of the Grim Reaper on the back of his neck and, not being content to destroy his own country with an ill considered and unwinnable war, now thinks maybe he'll just end the whole world.
That has been known to keep me up at night.

Although the source is Newsweek, the article cites RT throughout. RT is not an acceptable source for LBN.
