New York Man Given 'Pain Compliance' By Guardian Angels On TV To Sue

A New York City man who was branded a shoplifter and migrant while roughed up by members of the Guardian Angels on live television last month has announced his intent to file a civil lawsuit against the anti-crime organization.

“I’m not afraid anymore,” Marco Piña, 22, said at a press conference Tuesday, according to The New York Daily News. His first public comments followed him giving an interview with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for possible criminal charges, according to Pix11 News.

Piña said he migrated to the U.S. from Mexico as a toddler 20 years ago and has only ever known New York City as his home. He has also “never broken the law,” he added, contrary to what was allegedly said against him by the group’s founder, Curtis Sliwa, on national television.

A police spokesperson confirmed to NBC News shortly after the incident that Piña had been accused of repeatedly attempting to interfere and disrupt the live television interview, but there was no evidence of shoplifting. He was issued a summons as officers saw him “acting in a loud, disorderly threatening manner” on the sidewalk.

I'd be pretty damned loud and angry, too.

Cops should be ashamed of themselves. Vigilante thugs need to be charged with assault.

you'd better believe I'd feel justified in taking out eyes, chunks of skin, punching throats, etc. I'd just be one guy against a gang with murderous intent...I'd fight for my life. They'd be maimed and scarred as a permanent reminder of not to pick on innocent people.

Let them try to justify how it took a gang of them to 'subdue' an almost 50 year old in my case.

They don’t pay for locations and must film what’s there. They can’t demand a zone like films because they don’t pay location fees to “buy” the location.

Piña can interfere all he wants it’s a free country. Sliwa’s goons assaulted an innocent man in a live-TV PR stunt. Go away vigilantes, You aren’t helping by seeking the limelight.

Would be willing to chip in to a GoFundMe for one way tickets to Russia for all of these fascist pricks. I mean, they all seem to drool over Putin and how he runs things over there.
