Biden 'meant what he said' in saying he'll have 'come to Jesus meeting' with Netanyahu: VP Harris
Source: ABC News
In an interview with ABC News Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris reacted for the first time to President Joe Biden's hot mic comment in which he's heard saying he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will soon have a "come to Jesus" conversation about the war in Gaza.
"He meant what he said," Harris told ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Mary Bruce. "Some of us grew up in communities where when a 'come to Jesus talk' is about having a serious talk, based on candor."
After delivering his high-stakes State of the Union address on Thursday, Biden was caught on a hot mic chatting with Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado. Bennet told Biden he needed to "keep pushing" to get humanitarian aid into Gaza, to which Biden responded: "I told Bibi, don't repeat this, you and I are going to have a 'come to Jesus' meeting."
"I'm on a hot mic here. Good. That was good," Biden then says after being warned by an aide.

Give him hell, Joe! Show Bibi who exactly is paying the tab.

(54,031 posts)Unlike many of the past presidents, I actually believe Biden is a friend to Israel, not a frenemy nor a false friend. I read many different news sources, not just the MSM ones from Israel and many in Israel actually do recognize Biden's friendship and know he is the real deal. I hope a new coalition topples Bibi completely. Also, unlike many of the protestors, Biden understands there is more than ONE side that needs to negotiate and doesn't hold Israel to a double-standard.
Can't wait to vote for him again!! I have NEVER wanted to vote for a president's second term as much as I do Biden, even if a threat to democracy was not on the horizon, I would GLADLY vote for him again!

(54,087 posts)As long as the fighting continues, he won't be replaced. Once the fighting ceases, currently he's very likely to be replaced. He has every incentive to keep on fighting, even though the fighting means ramping up the total number of innocent civilians being killed. Unfortunately for Netanyahu, he doesn't give a damn about how many innocent civilians he kills. And so, slowly propping up BB Netanyahu means continuing to damage Israel's support in the world.
You can love Netanyahu or you can love Israel, but for the time being doing both is impossible.
