All Alaska Airlines flights grounded: report

All Alaska Airlines flights have been grounded as of Wednesday morning, according to an advisory from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
Airlines contracting with Alaska such as Horizon Air and SkyWest Airlines are exempt from the ground stop, FAA said in its advisory.
Alaska Airlines did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

(111,319 posts)The only way to get point to point in most of Alaska is by air most flights carry at least some cargo. Too much weight in the wrong place means a plane isn't going to get very far. Even I know that.
I'm glad it's a software screwup and not bad maintenance.
