They have special, protective custody units. The prison system doesn’t exactly throw former cops into general population, for example.

I’ve read other people suggest locking him up in a military barracks and the USSS & MPs would basically be Cantaloupe Caligula’s prison guards.

Put him in a cell apart from everyone else. In fact, let's fund a brand new prison just for him, call it the Donald J. Trump prison, and build a luxury unit for the Secret Service, one they don't have to pay for. Make Trump's cell like the one they kept Hannibel Lechter in, with a completely unobstructed view of him, with a desk and chair for one SS guard at a time.

He doesn't have to have criminal company. A cell like this wouldn't be isolation. Give him TV, radio, and books to read.
