Giuliani tells bankruptcy judge successful appeal of 148M defamation judgment for slandering election workers will help

Rudy Giuliani on Friday asked a federal judge in New York City to modify the stay of his bankruptcy case to allow him to appeal the $148 million defamation verdict won by former Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea’ “Shaye” Moss.

In a 15-page filing, attorney Gary Fischoff asked U.S. Bankruptcy Sean Lane to modify a stay previously issued in February “for the limited purpose” of being able “to prosecute and perfect” their case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. And, the former Donald Trump attorney’s own legal team says, time is of the essence.

On Feb. 20, Lane issued a modification of the stay allowing the debtor to file a motion for a new trial and a notice of appeal. While Giuliani quickly availed himself of signaling his intent to appeal, the judge’s earlier order did not specifically allow a direct appeal.

Now, deadlines loom in the capital district’s federal court of appeals.

I want so much for those two women to be made as whole as possible... and for Rudy to be put in the position to realize what he did, why he did it, and why his soul is so wrong. I don't hold much hope for him, but I want those two women to come out victorious against him. Their situation is a small symbolic illustration of what we're all up against right now -- a major fight between good and evil. For Rudy to win, evil triumphs. Welcome to generational transitions. We fight this fight each time. We won the last one, tho not completely, back in the 60's and 70's. It's just so disheartening to be fighting the same fights all over again.

I mean, Rudi said what he did about the honest election workers just to benefit the Rapist.

He can't accept that he lost and figures there just has to be a way out. A loophole, a mistake, a law no one ever heard of that cancels the debt.
Now he's shopping for a sympathetic judge.

In the real world, he'd be screwed.

that's the TX district, right? If he manages to get them involved in some way, all hope is lost. That judge will do whatever he wants. After all, he's evidently a white Xtian male... at least, that's how he puts himself out to the world. Altho I think he could be questioned on a few of those points, push come to shove.
