US intelligence agencies have found that Russian President Vladimir Putin likely didnt order opposition leader Alexey Navalnys death at a prison camp in February, the Wall Street Journal reported.
While the assessment didnt dispute Putins culpability for the death, it found that the timing possibly wasnt as intended by Putin, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter. The finding is broadly accepted within the intelligence community and shared by several agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the State Departments intelligence unit, according to the report.
The mysterious death of Navalny, an anti-corruption activist and Russias most prominent opposition figure, at an Arctic prison in February triggered a fresh round of tensions between Russia and the West at a time relations were fractured by the Ukraine conflict.
The death also sparked the biggest unauthorized protests since the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine. US President Joe Biden and other leaders have held the Russian leader ultimately at fault based on years of the Kremlins targeting of Navalny.

Bloomberg has a business media empire and has also focused millions and millions of his dollars to candidates and causes related to gun control (meaning Democrats).

(7,526 posts)The rations do not provide enough calories to sustain someone performing hard labor and there exist extremely limited access to health care in the russian prison system. Additionally, many prisons are sweltering hot during the summer and extremely frigid during the winter.
Moving him to Siberia was almost certainly to isolate him from the world, and no one in power was going to shed a tear if he accidentally died in custody.

Trump's left-over fans in intelligence need to go to russia and stay there.
