Trump won't rule out election violence if he loses to Biden in November: 'It depends'

Former President Donald Trump said in a new interview that he's not ruling out the possibility of election-related violence if he loses to President Joe Biden in November.
Time released a lengthy interview with the former president on Tuesday conducted mostly on April 12 at his Mar-a-Lago Club. The conversation focused on his ambitions if he won a second term, such as mass deportations, getting rid of "bad people" in government, and how he might fire his attorney general if the chief law-enforcement officer refused to prosecute someone at his command.
When first pressed about the prospect of "political violence" over the upcoming presidential election, Trump said he didn't think it would play out. "I think we're going to have a big victory," he said. "And I think there will be no violence."
Two weeks later, Trump spoke with the Time reporter for a follow-up, and the reporter asked specifically if violence might erupt if he didn't defeat Biden. "I think we're going to win," he said. "And if we don't win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election."

AND we know he's going to get other people to attempt a lame-ass coup on his behalf. It will fail of course.

(2,459 posts)To use some of that total presidential immunity that Cantaloupe Caligula keeps trying to claim. Since Mango Mussolini is making threats against the security of the country, Biden would be within his official duties to call up Seal Team 6
I make no other comment or suggestion on course of action beyond that. The reader however, is free to use his/her/their imagination.

And the threat of this demented old man would finally be over. His cult would swing chickens in a circle around them to bring back their martyr. And then they would crawl back under their rocks.
Sorry if this suggested doom for a terrorist breaks a rule here, but I have really had it with this clown.

But keep in mind that, if Biden wins reelection (fingers crossed) and anybody tries anything insurrection-y in response, they'll quickly find out just how much difference it made having the sitting President on their side last time vs now.

(7,497 posts)Maybe even now. Trump recently told a lie about police blocking protesters from coming to his trial. Trump knows the court has received 100s of threats but he lies to inflame his cult following more. The law says bail can be revoked if someone presents a public danger. Trump does. So he should be locked up incommunicado with closed circuit TV of his trial and the ability to communicate with his lawyer and nobody else.
