Attorney: Teen was shot for having Wii controller in hand
Source: WSB-TV Atlanta
Christopher Roupe, 17, was in the ROTC at Woodland High School and wanted to join the Marines. His friends said he looked after them.
Roupe's young life ended Friday night when Euharlee police officers showed up at the door of his home in the Eagle View Mobile Home Park to serve a probation violation warrant for his father.
A female police officer told GBI investigators that Roupe pointed a gun at her when he opened the door.
It just doesn't add up, said Cole Law who is representing the Roupe family.

It sickens me to say that, and I'm by no means making an anti-Southern comment here. The racial bias is as strong in New York, Los Angeles and Milwaukee as it is anywhere in the south.

(11,530 posts)Obviously there are multiple versions of the story. I can see that a police officer is going to be on heightened alert when they're serving a warrant. But my God, they should have enough training to avoid doing this to innocent unarmed people.

(47 posts)that may or may not have looked like a gun I'd go to prison. Why has Americas police force become so militarized that they don't think twice about murdering children? This isn't an isolated incident. It's happening more often everyday and more often than not the police are getting paid vacation and then it's back to work like nothing ever happened.

If there was a gun, where the fuck is it? Was it the kind of gun that was pointed at Dunn? The kind that's pointed at you until you shoot the owner, then it magically disappears without a trace?
