I paid for one gallon of gas with pennies and the gas station worker didn't want to accept them for payment. I had already pumped the gas so I just laughed at him, said it's legal tender and left.

Some people haven't gone without enough to appreciate pennies, I guess. The man in this story is certainly going to learn to appreciate any type of loose change after he's sued.

The video footage of this incident should rightfully put this S.O.B. out of business.

When people clean out their drawers and purses for change, there's a lot of older coins worth more than face value. A number of years ago I found lots of coins this way while searching my mother's poker change. A group of elderly women who played every week. So when one died a new one would join and needed small change. They cleaned out their drawers and purses. My Mom would call me up when a new one entered the game. My biggest prize was when I bought the coins at work collected for cancer research. An MS63 55 double die cent. Worth about $4,000 if I sell. I gave the charity at work a cut of course. The food truck guy was really stupid. Most people don't check their change.

always say no problem they really like to get quarters and other change. It is something they need during their day and tend to run out of. How many times have you had to stand in line while waiting for the manager to bring the cashier some change? I have plenty of times. The guy is just an asshole.

The quarters were just an excuse for him to flip.

No one sane would do this.

It was less than clear what his point was.

The closest he came to an apology was saying he was racist to all black people, so it wasn't anything personal to this particular lady.

He struck me as so stupid (or at least had racism so ingrained) that this seemed to be a reasonable explanation to him.

During both videos, I had that same feeling you get (or at least I get) when somebody on a TV show is doing something incredibly stupid to make a situation worse and you are internally cringing so bad you have to turn off the TV.

After diligent searching, I can tell you his name means "Islamic Egyptian" in English, but that's about it.

Apparently, the food cart owner has released a couple videos regarding the event. It's a rambling mess, but he appears to blame fasting for Ramadan for his ill temper.
