Moyers and Company: Confronting the Contradictions of America’s Past

History is a tradition...and the building blocks of all society...History has been considered both story telling and bunk. So how do we trust it? Apparently we trust history via historians crafting an argument based on interpreted evidence. Jefferson's ideas gave birth to our Republic, but he is not considered so special by Khalil Gibran Muhammad because for some reason Jefferson resolved that slavery would exist after the revolution even though he wrote about equality....

Contradiction is: Presidents creating a govt. of slavery as Freedom that enriched the privileged classes via reproducing inferiority that many weighed in and said the system makes sense...It makes sense because it serves the elite...

Fourth of July celebrating freedom that is enslaving 95 percent of it's people...

Money trumps peace...Money buys voice into the system that maintains inequality. This inequality is the elites "modus operand". They cleverly have manipulated many of our educated, religious, and political saying that has all hands on deck to maintain this outrages inequality.

This Moyer's discussion is a long discussion, but quite interesting and clearly makes the point of how much work is needed to be done for all people......http://www.commondreams.org/video/2012/06/30
