Putin has reached a new low

Any country that has endured a terrorist attack as deadly as that inflicted on concert-goers in Moscow last Friday deserves sympathy and for the culprits to be condemned in the strongest terms.

The victims, enjoying a night out, were gunned down or choked by fumes from a fire in an attack bearing the hallmarks of Islamist fanatics. Indeed, the Islamic State group has claimed responsibility.

Yet as the world voices its compassion for the relatives of the dead and the hundreds recovering from their wounds, what does Vladimir Putin do? He seeks to involve Ukraine in the blame and then orders a massive missile strike on Kyiv.

This is a new low even by the Russian president’s standards but it is done deliberately to deflect any blame from himself. The Kremlin had been tipped off by Western intelligence to the possibility of an attack from an IS splinter organisation operating in the Khorasan region but ignored the warnings, calling it a provocation.

Stopped to get my truck inspected. A man saw my Navy hat and thanked me for service. Always nice for Vietnam era vets to get a thank you.
He asked if we have been noticed of a call back to service? I thought he was joking, but he said the Army just issued a statement today calling for vets to come back voluntarily. He said the Air Force did so a few weeks back.
Any vets heard of this?
Riddle me this. If trump gets reappointed, war breaks out, who are we gonna fight being many politicians and all MAGA’s are all pro Putin.
Or, President Biden takes office and war breaks out against Russia.
Many military, lots of vets are Pro Putin, can we trust them not to shoot American Dem soldiers?

Islamic terrorists. Idiot (putin) is attacking the wrong people/entities, and if anything, encouraging yet even more attacks by his thugs, in order to stir up discontent and stay in power longer. When is this idiot going to drop dead of old age?

Not to avoid placing blame, but the terrorists didn't have to attack a peaceful function, of all things, on music/the concert. Obviously of course these terrorists wanted the people going to such shows, the show probably attracted a lot of high value targets, including probably ambassadors of all nations, including probably the heads or ambassadors of Islamic Nations too.

Terrorists, of all kinds have a special place in hell reserved for them, IMHO. And I'm including domestic terrorists too, here in the U.S., all other Countries too.

It garners sympathy and allows them to commit more atrocities.

It's not a new low, he's just aspiring to his base instincts.

And he's thoroughly infiltrated this country through our GOP politicians. Treason, we call that. But it will never get prosecuted.

Human reason and intellect is no match for this. We should have made Toqueville's Democracy in America the centerpiece of our social studies education and required reading for every American student. His essay on the potential of democracy to create despotism is prophetic.
