Wendy Davis discusses same-sex marriage with the San Antonio Express-News’ editorial board

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis has come out in favor of marriage equality and called upon her presumed Republican opponent in November, Attorney General Greg Abbott, to stop defending the state’s constitutional amendment banning both same-sex marriage and civil unions. On Top Magazine has now posted video of the remarks Davis made during an interview the San Antonio Express-News’ editorial board last Thursday. Watch it below.

I am so glad that she is getting the exposure that she is needing. Hopefully the Democrats will show up and vote in November. Texas being one of the lowest participants in voting a good number of Democrats that vote in 2014 who didn't in 2010 may just be able to put Wendy over the finish line to victory. If not, she will just continue to improve and be a force of nature in future races.

younger voters who might otherwise vote GOP will be turned away by their continued discrimination against LBGT, this was a smart move on her part
