There will be time for the public and Congress before the vote to make their concerns known

4. It looks like your right, however, it will give Congress the right to reject it as you said.

Frankly, that seems the only practical way they could do it since that would involve Congress in the negotiating process with the various countries involved, and I think that would be chaotic.

An up or down vote would reject a bad deal hopefully

Obama is fully aware that if it gets Fast Track approval then it is almost a sure fire deal. There might be some opposition by Tea Party Reps, but they could be countered by a handful of Democrats who support it.

I also had the impression there are enough Democrats to kill it, I guess that is incorrect also

It was Barack Obama who promised us transparency and a change in how business is handled in Washington. And it's Barack Obama who is trying to push through a secret trade bill that's been written by lobbyists. And even though there have been leaks to the contrary it's Barack Obama assuring us that it's going to benefit the middle class....And you're telling us the woman who's actually trying to change the way business is being done in DC is disingenuous?

“I intend to tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over, that they had not funded my campaigns, and from my first day as president, I will launch the most sweeping ethics reform in U.S. history. We will make government more open, more accountable, and more responsive to the problems of the American people.”
-Barack Obama

Ironic, Obama's response to his own party questioning the TPP was "“Everything I do has been focused on how do we make sure the middle class is getting a fair deal.” Pretty sad when a carefully orchestrated media myth becomes more powerful that the actual truth. It's even more sad that we don't hold our leaders accountable.

Fool me once - shame on you!
Fool me twice - shame on ME!
Fool me a third time and we need to send
thank you notes to ALL who helped perpetrate
the hoodwink. If we're THAT stupid - to let another
shafting be driven up our rears, then we obviously
enjoy the experience and should display our
gracious gratitude!
