Katic Couric interview with Bernie Sanders.

Last edited Tue Jun 2, 2015, 07:31 PM - Edit history (1)

More about the Yahoo interview:

Bernie Sanders on Hillary Clinton: 'Would she be interested in being my vice president?'

Sanders, who opposed the Patriot Act and its reauthorization, said he plans to vote against the less-wide-ranging USA Freedom Act, passed last month by the House, which would allow some counterterrorism tools — including the NSA’s controversial bulk data collection — to remain in place.

“It doesn’t go far enough in protecting our privacy rights,” he said. “We are moving toward an Orwellian society where Big Brother in the corporate world and the government have too much personal information about innocent people.”

...Later, Sanders was asked if he would ever consider being Clinton’s vice president.

“Would she be interested in being my vice president?” he replied. “We may be outspent, but I think we’ve got a good shot to win this thing.”

3. Expect the media to attempt to write off Bernie as a "Loon" a "Socialist" not "serious" "longshot"

It was a pretty good interview, surprisingly full, complete and balanced. Overall, I liked it.

But then Katie is nothing more than a frickin' cheerleader turned talking head. Who cares what she says, thinks, or does?

Overall she asked good questions. Bernie himself said so frequently.

sense of humor and his independent approach to issues.

As for that article in the 1970s, Bernie should not be embarrassed. That's probably going to win him trust with a lot of people.

Fact is, that article is nothing compared to the TV show, Sex and the City and the general internet fare that is available and hard to keep from young people. And then, as he mentions Fifty Shades of Gray???? So popular???

People have always been trying to deal with sex and the "war between the sexes" without success. Hey, even the squirrels in my yard can't deal with it.

I don't think Bernie should be embarrassed about that article. It just proves he grappled with some of the same issues when he was young that many young people grapple with today.

Am I wrong on this? I'm in Bernie's generation. And married a long time.

One thing that article definitely reveals about Bernie is that he is decidedly heterosexual.

Again, am I wrong?
