GOP Trashy Economics Send Kansas Back To Dust Bowl Era

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has implemented unacceptably horrid tax policies that has made Kansas an economic disaster area. He’s cut taxes for the wealthy and corporations in the state, which has forced budget cuts for education and public services.

And what’s the result? The state still has an enormous deficit. There you go.

Ring of Fire’s Mike Papantonio and Sam Seder discuss the latest chapter of the horrible Sam Brownback saga.

1. To be fair to Brownback, there would be no deficit if there was no state govt

and the goal of his owners is for there to be basically no state government.

No schools, roads, bridges, etc.

No food for the poor.

The Koch Bros only need roads in very specific places.

Now without our highway system would Koch Industries suffer?

I suppose so, but that is what matters.

You do understand that the Koch Bros etal want Americans to die or leave, right?

Do we all understand that yet?

his herd, and start over. Problem is, Kansas voters would bring in the same or even worse. In fact, they would want the Koch Brothers, one or both, as kings with authoritarian rule. I've always felt the voters in Kansas want punishment. I've often felt their religion consistently tells them they are sinners, and they seek fulfillment in authoritarian punishment. I don't think that's as crazy as it sounds! It's really a form of self-flagellation in a political sense.

I will give you that there are surely some like that. Did you know that the numbers from the last election did not add up but we cannot get the records because Kobach won't release them and Sammy will never let anyone push around ole 2 gun Kris.

You should read some of the things sent in to the papers these days and comments on articles. Sure there are the trusty few who have all the Fox Snews points but the vast majority are now against what is going on. Sam has become a dictator with a losing vision unless you know he wants it this way so he can privatize the rest of the state.

it's an experiment for what they would like to pull on other states.

I often think of Kansas as a state under siege.

The Koch have used this state quietly for at least the last 30 years. We are ground zero and those skills that they have honed are now starting to crush other states. I agree, Kansas should be studied but no one believes that their state would be so stupid. Well, wait until they have worked you over. Then perhaps I can point at them and say the shit we get here every day. There is a very good reason this has happened. We house one of those MF's and their corporations.

dangerous as an invasion force working to occupy the country.

I wish so many Americans were not so damn lame about getting into their heads what is going on. Instead, many fall hook, line and sinker for all of the rhetoric, propaganda and divisive gimmicks. Joseph Goebbels could not have done better. And, they have their blaring propaganda machine, Fox News.

Far too many Americans think being patriotic is all about putting RW stickers on ones car, flying flags, often huge ones, thumping the bible, trouncing healthcare and all of the other crap they fall for as divisive tactics. It's so damn disguising and stupid. Maybe there is hope with the millennials. Meanwhile, they are undermining the country as many fools applaud them as they sink further and further into despair, the boiling frog syndrome, as well as the Stockholm syndrome.

It is all so damn pathetic to see it in action.
