that way I know where the racists live. Two have shown up in our neighborhood in the past two days. They actually took down the American flag to hoist the Stars and Bars. The local flag store is doing a brisk business I hear.

I know a guy who flies the Confederate flag, loves his guns, and is pissed off about the people who are taking it down.

One small problem: This guy is half Asian. Half Korean, to be exact. And I thought white boys hate Asians or anyone else who isn't as white as they are.

I don't get this.

Liquor is local option in Texas.

Not too many years ago in this county they started selling off-premises beer and wine.

There are a couple of restaurants with full bars but I don't think there is a single freestanding liquor store.

In Texas you have to buy distilled stuff at an actual liquor store. Beer and wine can be sold at supermarkets with the right permits.

As far as I know you have to go to the next county to buy distilled liquor.

Overrun with Baptists.

The last verified veteran of Confederate forces was Pleasant Riggs Crump (December 23, 1847 – December 31, 1951). He died sixty four years ago.
I suspect lots of confederate flag waver want to be civil war veterans, but they're not. Just wannabes. Wannabes using the image of the flag of losers as porn for mental masturbation.

Heritage not Hate or Heritage of Hate?

These people are in love with the IMAGE of the Confederacy, not the REALITY.

The image is from "Birth Of A Nation," "Gone With The Wind" or "The Outlaw Josie Wales."

The reality was "12 Years A Slave."

The guys who hid in caves and woods on sparsely occupied Pacific islands long after the war had ended? The last one didn't come out til:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_holdout

[div class="excerpt"
Japanese holdouts (残留日本兵 Zanryū nipponhei?, "remaining Japanese soldiers&quot or stragglers were Japanese soldiers in the Pacific Theatre who, after the August 1945 surrender of Japan ending World War II, either adamantly doubted the veracity of the formal surrender due to strong dogmatic or militaristic principles, or simply were not aware of it because communications had been cut off by the United States island hopping campaign.

They continued to fight the enemy forces, and later local police, for years after the war was over. Some Japanese holdouts volunteered during the First Indochina War and Indonesian War of Independence, to free Asian colonies from Western control despite these having once been colonial ambitions of Imperial Japan during World War II.

Intelligence officer Hiroo Onoda, who was relieved of duty by his former commanding officer on Lubang Island in the Philippines in March 1974, and Teruo Nakamura, who was stationed on Morotai Island in Indonesia and surrendered in December 1974, were the last confirmed holdouts, though rumors persisted of others.

These diehard rebels are way more delusional.
