The Democratic Party in Maine has hopefully learned its lesson. It's happened twice now where they've put up someone whose turn it is rather than who is most qualified.

problem. The problem was a split ticket (both LePage and Cutler attacking the Dem Michaud) and national winds behind the GOP's back. There was also an anti-bear hunting referendum that drew out huge Republican numbers. So be careful before throwing too many stones. Do more homework first.

And neither was Libby Mitchell. They were anointed but not inspiring.
