I recognized him from the image on the home page.

We worked our asses off for 4 days. I haven't kept up with Michael but he is a great guy.
The 8th street office is the IAFF lobbying point (the state capital is two blocks) away. Great setting for a phone bank.

Our volunteers LOVED us. We cranked out calls and, let me say, were the beginning of what became the Obama campaign in 2008.

The last time I saw Michael was that night at the Canal Club. He was worried as all the networks called and colored everything that they could RED as soon as the could. We had been getting in the exit polls and I had run home to check DU. The last thing I said to him was "Don't worry we are going to win". Everything and the math said so... but we didn't.

We became pregnant with our daughter that week.
