Alejandra and David - Facing Foreclosure (and we are fighting back)

to read more of the fight back in the twin cities. It is inspiring and good info on helping others fight back to keep their homes.

(this is a family in my neighborhood. these two siblings have fought for the Dream Act. We will keep fighting for their home and other homes. Please share with others. There are ways you can help. Share the video, sign the petitions, make the calls. and if able protest at PNC bank.)

regional president J. William (Bill) Mills.
Please call Bill at 215.585.5343 and demand that PNC stick to their word and negotiate with the Cruz family!

My family and I have lived in our South Minneapolis home for the past 7 years, but now we are in foreclosure because of a bank error, leaving our home under threat of imminent eviction despite us being willing and able to pay a mortgage.

Our home went into foreclosure when PNC Bank failed to withdraw an online mortgage payment submitted by my father and then demanded two months’ payment as punishment. Unable to pay more than the current month’s payment, our family fell into foreclosure.

After our home fell into foreclosure, we then began working with a local nonprofit that was supposed to be working out a loan modification. In February without warning an agent of the bank came to our house and told us we had 48 hours to leave the property, terrifying our family and ignoring our right to a legal eviction process.

We want to keep our home and want the bank to negotiate a reasonable settlement for our mortgage based on the actual value of the property. Together with Occupy Homes MN we will defend our home from foreclosure and force the bank to do what is right.

The foreclosure crisis has had devastating effects on the Latino community, and until now, many families have been afraid to stand up when they are being mistreated by the banks that have been fraudulently foreclosing on families across the country. The banks have used this fear and manipulation of a complicated legal system to profit from honest, hardworking people. We will not remain silent because we know that if more people are inspired by our example and stand up for their rights the banks will be forced to do what is right for all homeowners.

the music was distracting to the point that I did not know what was being said.
Remove that awful and overpowering music and it would be far better.

The bank erred, and owes THEM! They needed a lawyer after bank failed initially to correct its error, and now they need lawyer, Congress-critters, mayor, and State representatives to tell PNC to correct this ridiculous fiasco and pay them damages!

they went to court and the judge wouldn't look at the court documents. Sadly it often happens. Also sadly people think the justice system is on the side of truth, or maybe on the side of the homeowner.. 95% of them time they aren't. Once in awhile there are some great judges who takes the time to look at the documents and looks at the evidence and there is justice.. sadly often there isn't.

and as far as the music. I didn't do this video.. It was sent to me and was put together by a young adult. I would have no idea how to do this so I'm impressed by the video and thought it was well done for someone who isn't a "professional".

I hope it helps inspires others to fight back instead of just giving up or committing suicide.

Yes they do need a lawyer too. Someone who can do this pro bono or is able to help for a good cause. The bank needs to be in the spotlight for their thoughtlessness. Protest at their doorstep with TV cameras!!!

Franken isn't helpful.

the best response has been Rep Ellison but even with that the DFL have really failed the people.

this is just one of the many home owners the community had helped and supported through calls, petitions, protests, marches, occupying the home. And the DFL have not stopped any of the foreclosures. but the people.

The Democrats as well as Republicans have failed us.
