They are saying that no drilling has increased? Either they are uninformed or lying.

"President Obama has overseen the largest rise in drilling rigs in U.S. history, from less than 200 in April 2009 to over 1,200 today. U.S. oil production is the highest it's been in eight years. We now import 15 percent less oil than we did in 2005. For the first time since 1949, the United States is a net exporter of gasoline, diesel, and other fuels."

Except that when Bush was running in 2000, his said he would "jawbone" the Arabs to lower gas prices. Since he and Cheney were both oil men, they understood the business. So, in fact they deserved to be blamed as far as I'm concerned.

That there are market forces at work behind the price of gasoline that are outside of the reach of the president.

It's stupid for them to blame high prices on Obama. It was stupid when we blamed it on Bush...

He bragged that he could lower gas prices, so in that case he was taking on the problem personally. So .... he should be the one responsible, right?
